Authentic Bellydance Workshop with Hindy

Bellydance Discovery is proud to present Hindy, the internationally renowned Lebanese bellydance artiste in Singapore.

Hindy, a North American Lebanese dancer comes with an extensive bellydance background, hailing influences from some of the renowned Egyptian masters such as Dina, Raqia Hassan, Najwa Fouad and Mona Said.

Her expertise in this ancient art form has led her to winning the Best Improvisational Bellydance by renowned master Raqia Hassan in Miami.

Having performed in Hollywood, Vegas, Tunisia, United Arab Emirates and Canada to name a few, Hindy has left hundreds of audience mesmerized and a stream of followers. These days, Hindy spends most of her time conducting dance workshops in different countries.

Workshop A : ' Star Struck Styles'

Learn the secrets of some of the most famous Egyptian Bellydancers and the movements & elements that make them famous.

Dina -Legendary Egyptian bellydancer whose dramatic expressions are irresistible.

She is one dancer who has a strong public presence today is Dina. The currently darling of belly dance, Dina is demands high dollars dancing on stage and private events like weddings. She dances and appears in films. She has achieved super star status world-wide.

Lucy- One of the popular Egyptian bellydancer with her Raks Sharqi style

Not only she is a famous and one of the most recognised Bellydancer of today, she sings as well and have her MTVs broadcast all over Egypt and other Arabic countries. This Egyptian belly dancer even gave belly dancing instruction through the Arab satellite television channel MTV. The dancer has signed an agreement with the station to give lessons for a wage of one thousand dollars per episode.

Nagua Fouad- A top dancer in the 70s whose style combines traditional Oriental dance with stylized dramatic choreography

Nagwa had been entranced by the dancers of the 40's and 50's. To Nagwa Na'ema Akef " moved like magic". Na'ema, Tahiya Karioka and Samia Gamal personified the belly dance tradition in the Middle East. They had left and indelible impression on the young girls mind. Nagwa's dream was to dance.

Mona S'aid –A most distinct Egyptian bellydance stars of the twentieth century who hired the famous musicians in the old days.

Mona S'aid's distinctive style has made her one of the most popular bellydance stars in 20th century. You will able to see her as the cover bellydancers of many famous music CDs.

Workshop B : Pop Balady

A short 4 minutes pop balady choreography with a touch of Hindy’s charisma. Highly fun and infectious! This choreography is very interesting and also easy to remember. Its suitable for dancers of all levels.

*Both workshops are suited for students with Pre-intermediate level and above.
