From Aniqa: I was 22 when I picked up bellydance. I wanted to ‘follow my calling’ to pursue my passion in the performance arts. I chose bellydance because I love drum music, the sensuality of bellydance movements and the costumes. I love how one can express their personalities and emotions through bellydance. The performing arts has always intrigued me ever since I was young. I’ve always wanted to be the one on stage performing, rather than the one sitting in the audience watching! The moment I picked up bellydance I knew I wanted to be a bellydancer Other than dancing I love to sing, read(non-fiction), swim and chill out with friends at restaurants and cafes
