Why Bellydancing?
Belly Dance is one of the oldest art forms that originated in all-ancient cultures from the orient to India to the mid-East. It evolved from celebrating rituals of birth & fertility to parties preparing a young woman for marriage through performances from other women.
Not only it’s a celebration of life, Belly dance is an excellent form of exercise, working 600 muscles in the body. It is natural to a woman's bone and muscle structure with movements emanating from the torso rather than in the legs and feet (in which back, torso, thigh muscles are strengthened). The dance often focuses upon isolating different parts of the body, moving them independently in sensuous patterns, weaving together the entire feminine form that result better control of the body, muscle endurance and flexibility improvement. Belly dancing is generally performed barefoot to emphasize the intimate physical connection between the dancer, her expression, and Mother Earth.
Moon Dance Vs Belly Dance
No doubt, Moon Dance is created from Belly Dance, but it has taken away all sharp movements, jumps, sharp change of directions, aggressive shimmies and accents.
There are more stretching, toning and heaps of pelvis floor muscles exercise in Moon Dance. It is a safe and fun dance program approve by midwives and professional.
